Our History
Founded in 1999, the Professional Association of Consulting Engineers and Engineering Firms of Cameroon (APICCAM) was established in response to a desire amongst professionals in the construction and public works sectors to organise themselves into an association in order to better defend their interests and improve the quality of the services they provide.
Originally, this initiative was spearheaded by consultancy engineering firms involved in the infrastructure sector (roads, buildings, engineering structures, public works, etc.).
Gradually, APICCAM is seeking to bring together all stakeholders in the consultancy engineering sector under its umbrella.
APICCAM currently has sixteen (16) members covering a relatively broad spectrum of the profession. The stated aim is to gradually encourage all stakeholders in the sector to join APICCAM, so as to include all relevant companies and strengthen its status as a reliable partner for project owners (MINTP, MINDUH, CUY, CUD, local authorities acting as project owners for key infrastructure projects, and funding bodies).
